Experience working with Epic integrations/interfaces in a healthcare environment. The role requires a strong understanding of HL7 and healthcare interface concepts, experience gathering requirements and creating technical/interface specifications, and the ability to understand Epic data and how it moves between Epic and downstream applications. The candidate should be comfortable working in a technical environment without necessarily being responsible for hands-on coding.
Required Qualifications:
Experience working with Epic integrations/interfaces in a healthcare environment.
Strong understanding of HL7 and healthcare interface concepts.
Experience gathering requirements and creating technical/interface specifications.
Ability to understand Epic data and how it moves between Epic and downstream applications.
Familiarity with Epic Bridges and knowing where to find relevant interface and data information within Epic.
Ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and business/application stakeholders.
Strong analytical, documentation, and testing skills.
Comfortable working in a technical environment without necessarily being responsible for hands-on coding.
Preferred Qualifications:
Epic Bridges certification or experience. Certification is not required.
Epic badges or other relevant Epic credentials.
Familiarity with Epic APIs and/or other approaches for exchanging data with Epic.
Previous experience designing specifications for multiple interface types, including ADT, orders/results, scheduling, documents, and pharmacy/medication integrations.
Experience leading interface testing.
