Work Location, Rotations, and Travel
This is a fully on-site position and is not eligible for remote or hybrid work arrangements. Participants are expected to work in person at their assigned Johnson Controls facility five days per week.
Rotational assignments are a core part of this program and are not limited to your hiring location. One or more of your rotations may be based at another Johnson Controls facility within the United States and require an extended stay away from your home location, typically lasting several weeks to several months. Company-supported travel, lodging, and relocation assistance are provided in accordance with company policy.
What You Will Do
Complete structured rotational assignments across engineering, operations, product development, and other key functions.
Apply technical and business skills to real-world projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve complex challenges and drive impact.
Receive mentorship and coaching from senior leaders and technical experts while developing problem-solving, communication, and leadership capabilities.
Contribute to the successful and timely completion of projects, provide status updates, and deliver a final capstone project.
Work on-site at your assigned Johnson Controls facility throughout the program and complete rotations that may require extended stays at other U.S. locations.
Travel domestically and occasionally internationally for training, project work, and collaboration with global teams.

Immersive on-site experience: Work side-by-side with your team and mentors in office, lab, and operational environments.
Career opportunities: Upon successful completion of the program, transition into a full-time role in Cloud/AI Engineering, Automation Engineering, Test Engineering, Software Engineering, Project Management, or Product Management.
What You Bring
Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering , Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Flexibility and adaptability to work across multiple functions, teams, and locations, including relocation and rotational assignments throughout the United States.
Passion for learning, growth, and leadership, demonstrated through school, work, community involvement, internships, or co-op experiences.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts and work effectively toward common goals.
Proficiency in organizing and analyzing data to solve multidimensional problems, along with demonstrated proficiency using AI tools and technologies.
Ability to work full-time on-site, travel domestically and internationally as required , obtain and maintain valid travel documentation, and possess the legal right to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
