Will handle paperwork related to title transfers, lien releases, and vehicle registration, often working in car dealerships or related businesses. Will also interact with customers, providing information and assistance regarding the title process. Title Clerk job description: Key Responsibilities: * Processing and Filing Paperwork: Handling registration paperwork, including titles and license plates, and filing relevant tax documents. * Title Transfers and Lien Releases: Managing the process of transferring vehicle ownership and ensuring liens are properly released. * Maintaining Records: Keeping accurate records of vehicle titles, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. * Customer Service: Providing information and assistance to customers regarding title procedures and answering their questions. * Compliance: Ensuring that all processes and paperwork adhere to state and federal laws and regulations. * Verifying Information: Checking the accuracy of title applications and ensuring all information is complete. * Financial Management: Preparing payoff checks for new vehicles and trade-ins, as well as billing out dealer trades. * Communication: Acting as a point of contact for clients, attorneys, and government officials. * Staying Current: Keeping up-to-date with changes in state and federal regulations and procedures related to vehicle titles.
