Job Description

Akkodis is seeking a System Administrator for a Contract with a client in Plano, TX(Remote). Candidates must have strong expertise in vulnerability assessment and penetration testing to evaluate and strengthen system security.

Rate Range: $45/hour to $53/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

System Administrator job responsibilities include:

• Conduct comprehensive vulnerability assessments across systems, networks, and applications to identify security weaknesses.

• Perform penetration testing to simulate real‑world attacks and validate the effectiveness of existing security controls.

• Prepare detailed security reports outlining findings, exploit paths, and prioritized remediation recommendations.

• Collaborate with IT and security teams to support mitigation efforts and verify closure of identified vulnerabilities.

• Continuously monitor emerging threats, tools, and techniques to enhance testing methodologies.

• Assist in developing security best practices and improving the organization’s overall security posture.

Required Qualifications:

• Must have a relevant educational background in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.

• 6–8 years of hands‑on experience in vulnerability assessment and penetration testing.

• Requires strong proficiency in identifying, exploiting, and reporting security vulnerabilities.

• Requires the ability to work with cross‑functional teams to support remediation and strengthen overall security posture.

Pay Details: $45.00 to $53.00 per hour
