Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Sushi Chef for Kado No Mise. The Sushi Chef will play an integral part in maintaining exceptional food standards. At Kado No Mise we take pride in providing uncompromising hospitality in food, beverages, service, and atmosphere. All employees, regardless of position, must strive every day to ensure all four are performing at the highest level possible and creating the best experience for our guests.

Sushi Chef Responsibilities

• Desire to learn and better understand new cooking techniques.
• Prepare dishes in a timely and efficient manner.
• Inform Head Chef of low stock items.
• Ensure all health and safety regulations related to food handling and sanitation are being enforced.
• Collaborate with other team members to maintain a professional and positive environment.
• Maintain open communication with FOH members to relay order details and special requests.

Preferred Qualifications

. 2-3 years prior sushi chef experience in an elevated dining atmosphere with references.

. Dedicated to exceptional service and building rapport with guests

. Passionate about hospitality and evolving as a chef.

. Advanced knife skills and knowledge of whole fish fabrication. 

. Must be able to lift, carry and move goods up to 50lbs.

. Ability to work in a high-paced environment

. Maintain a clean and organized work space. 

. Clear communication with team members and FOH staff.

• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
