COMPANY OVERVIEW
Houston Homes, LLC is a residential home builder in the St Louis, MO region, constructing new home communities and custom design-build homes in St. Charles, Lincoln and Warren counties for over 40 years. We are locally owned and operated, now in the second generation of home building excellence. Due to our continued growth, we are seeking a qualified part time Staff Accountant to join our expanding team.
ESSENTAIL JOB DUTIES
· Process accounts payable transactions, including invoice entry, payment processing, and upload of positive pay files to the bank
· Prepare and submit subcontractor payment requests to the disbursing company for processing and payment
· Communicate with appropriate team members to resolve invoicing discrepancies
· Manage compliance documentation including W9s, Subcontractor Agreements, and Certificates of Insurance
· Reconcile and maintain company credit card receipts
· Perform 1099NEC year-end reporting
· Monitor accounts payable email and process accordingly
· Assist with financial statement month end and year end close activity
· Reconcile assigned general ledger accounts monthly
· Perform other related duties as assigned
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
· Associate or Bachelor degree in accounting, finance, or business preferred.
· 1-3 years of proven experience in a staff accountant role
· Capacity to meet monthly and yearly reporting deadlines
· Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Excellent organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
Job Type: Part-time 24 hours per week -Three 8-hour shifts
