Job Title: Software Quality Assurance Engineer and Tester (Senior)

Location: Hybrid (Washington, DC / Macon, GA / Boyers, PA)

Duration: 1 Year Base + 4 Option Years

Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust Clearance

Role Summary

Lead quality assurance efforts across complex enterprise applications, ensuring delivery of high-quality, reliable, and compliant software solutions. Responsible for defining testing strategies, implementing automation frameworks, and integrating continuous testing within Agile and DevSecOps environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end testing strategies across multiple applications and releases
• Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and automated test frameworks
• Oversee functional, regression, integration, performance, security, and accessibility testing
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to define acceptance criteria
• Participate in requirements analysis, design reviews, and release planning
• Coordinate testing efforts across cross-functional and distributed teams
• Analyze quality metrics, identify defects, and drive continuous improvement
• Mentor junior QA engineers and establish QA standards and best practices
• Ensure compliance with federal quality, security, and accessibility standards

Minimum Requirements & Education

• MS degree with 3 5 years of relevant experience

OR

• BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related field with 5 8 years of experience

Required Qualifications

• Prior Federal experience required
• Strong experience across SDLC and STLC processes
• Proven experience leading QA efforts for large-scale applications or programs
• Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, TestNG, JUnit)
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)
• Knowledge of performance and security testing practices
• Familiarity with accessibility testing (Section 508 / WCAG)
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
• Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• ISTQB or equivalent QA certification
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
• Experience with API testing tools (Postman, RestAssured)
• Exposure to cloud-based testing environments (AWS / Azure)
• Experience supporting federal compliance and release processes
