Job Title: Software Engineer contractor

Job Description:

What You ll Do:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and payment automation features.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Contribute to code reviews, automated testing, technical documentation, and continuous improvement.
• Help translate business needs into practical technical designs and development plans.

What You ll Bring:

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong experience building large-scale web applications and distributed systems.
• Proficiency in Java and/or TypeScript/Node.js.
• Experience with microservices, APIs, automated testing, monitoring, and CI/CD.
• Working knowledge of AWS services such as Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, SNS, and SQS.
• Ability to work effectively across teams, evaluate trade-offs, and drive projects to completion.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with React or similar frontend frameworks.
• Experience building payment platforms, supplier portals, or other financial technology products.
• Experience with multi-tenant SaaS architectures.
• This is a hands-on contract role focused on delivering reliable, scalable software in a fast-moving environment.
