Position Overview

We are seeking a highly organized, commercially minded Senior Shopify Project & Account Manager to take absolute operational ownership over project delivery and long-term client relationship management across multiple eCom portfolios. In this versatile, fast-paced freelance contractor seat, you will act as the master coordinator across up to 7 concurrent engagements—including custom Shopify builds, multi-variant CRO initiatives, and recurring SEO support loops. This role demands a proactive account manager who can fluidly translate complex merchant criteria into structured project roadmaps, direct cross-functional designer/developer allocations, and optimize internal agency workflows to shield profitability margins.

Key Responsibilities

• Concurrent Project Delivery: Govern the lifecycle of up to 7 concurrent Shopify and eCommerce projects, safely monitoring scopes, milestones, schedules, and quality parameters.
• Client Relationship Management: Act as the principal point of contact for assigned premium brands, providing high-touch asynchronous updates via Loom , hosting roadmap calls, and capturing retention upsell channels.
• Cross-Functional Squad Coordination: Lead daily task assignments and facilitate weekly reviews among distributed developers, UI/UX designers, SEO analysts, and email marketing resources.
• Agile Operations & Tool Governance: Own the agency production stack, configuring detailed sprints, risk mitigation logs, and change requests natively inside Asana, Notion, and Slack .
• Quality Assurance & Enforcements: Conduct thorough QA audits before product handoffs, establishing strict internal agency standards and mentoring junior account handlers.
• SOP & Process Optimization: Write, refine, and iterate on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), conducting retrospectives to continuously boost operational execution speed.
• Commercial & Budget Control: Track scope creep, coordinate custom quoting models, and monitor project resource hours to hit target profitability thresholds.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 4+ years of verified professional history running Project Management, Account Management, or Digital Agency Operations with an explicit focus within a **Shopify or eCommerce environment**.
• Deep technical understanding of the Shopify ecosystem , third-party applications, theme mechanics, and eCom front-end delivery workflows.
• Advanced operational command over modern collaborative platforms, specifically including **Asana task architecture, Notion, and Figma layout reviews**.
• Outstanding written, verbal, and visual presentation mechanics, with a demonstrated background leading high-stakes client roadmap syncs.
• Proven capacity to manage distributed, multi-disciplinary teams independently within a remote ecosystem.
• Location Context: 100% remote-first freelance contract framework open to qualified managers residing within the United Kingdom or Europe .
• Working Hours Alignment: Absolute personal capacity to commit to core agency hours running strictly between **10:00 AM – 6:00 PM CET**.

Preferred Strategic Indicators (Nice to Have)

• Prior experience managing projects hooked into generative AI productivity environments (**Claude prompting workflows preferred**).
• Familiarity with foundational search engine optimization configurations, email automation metrics (Klaviyo), and data-driven conversion rate metrics.
• Background navigating distributed, international team settings across varying regional time divisions.
