Senior Litigation Counsel / Partner-Level Attorney - ERISA & Financial Services Class Actions San Diego | Primarily In-Office with Some Hybrid Flexibility

A nationally recognized plaintiff-side law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Litigation Counsel or Partner-Level Attorney to join its established ERISA and Financial Services litigation team in San Diego. This group handles sophisticated, high-value class actions against major corporations and financial institutions. The role offers the opportunity to take on significant responsibility in complex federal litigation matters while working within a collaborative, nationally integrated team. This is a strong opportunity for a litigator seeking meaningful leadership responsibility within a respected plaintiff-side practice handling impactful, precedent-setting matters.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and support complex ERISA and financial services class action matters
Draft and argue pleadings, motions, and discovery
Develop litigation strategy and oversee case progression
Supervise and mentor associates and junior attorneys
Participate in mediations, hearings, and trial preparation
Manage case deadlines, workflow, and billing responsibilities
Collaborate with attorneys across multiple offices

Qualifications

Minimum 3+ years of federal litigation experience (more senior candidates encouraged to apply)
ERISA class action experience strongly preferred
Experience managing cases and/or supervising attorneys is a plus
Exposure to financial services or financial products litigation is valued
Excellent writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills
Active California Bar license in good standing
