About the Role:

The Seasonal Pizza Cook plays a vital role in delivering high-quality, delicious pizzas to customers during peak seasons. This position focuses on preparing and cooking pizzas efficiently while maintaining strict adherence to food safety and quality standards. The role requires working collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure timely order fulfillment and customer satisfaction. The Seasonal Pizza Cook will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work environment to support smooth kitchen operations. You will also have the opportunity to work on state-of-the-art Marra Forni pizza ovens! We are aiming to have the best pizza in our area.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a food preparation or cooking role, preferably in a pizza or fast-casual restaurant setting.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple orders simultaneously.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays during the seasonal period.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Culinary training or certification related to food preparation or cooking.
• Experience using commercial kitchen equipment such as pizza ovens and dough mixers.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and bending.
• Prior experience working in a high-volume seasonal or temporary role.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare pizza dough, sauces, and toppings according to established recipes and standards.
• Assemble and cook pizzas to order, ensuring proper cooking times and presentation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations throughout shifts.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with team members to manage order flow and meet customer demand efficiently.
• Assist with inventory management by reporting low stock or damaged ingredients.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and responsibly.

Skills:

The Seasonal Pizza Cook uses their cooking skills daily to prepare and assemble pizzas that meet quality and presentation standards.
