The Parts Specialist is extremely knowledgeable about automotive parts and accessories and can accurately answer questions and satisfy customer requirements in person or on the phone. Responsibilities * Customer Service: Greet and assist customers (both retail and internal) in a friendly, professional manner, answering questions and providing product information and recommendations. * Parts Identification: Use physical and electronic parts catalogs to accurately identify and source the correct parts and accessories for customer needs. * Order Processing: Process orders for both in-stock and special-order parts, generate sales invoices, and manage payments and returns. * Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, stock shelves, perform cycle counts, and identify slow-moving or out-of-stock items to place orders with suppliers. * Sales and Promotions: Cross-sell related parts, accessories, and special offers to customers, aiming to expose them to the full product line. * Communication: Handle phone inquiries, provide price quotes, update customers on part shipment status, and coordinate with service technicians and suppliers.
