We're seeking a strong Lead Host to add to our wonderful team of hospitality professionals.

Summary of Position :

The role of the Lead Host is help oversee front service operations, providing a remarkable customer experience with a focus on professionalism. The Lead Host acts as service ambassador by welcoming guests, managing reservations, and helping to direct seating flow. Under the tutelage of restaurant management, the Lead Host helps supervise the host team to ensure top-tier service, acting as a crucial link between guests, other support staff, and management.   The ideal candidate must possess in-depth elevated service knowledge and superior customer service skills. Excellent communication is essential to build a rapport with guests. The ability to lead and work well with a team are paramount. Must have fine dining restauarant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Be a main presence at the front host reception area; help train, mentor, and guide host staff while always modeling exceptional service; consistently uphold the highest restaurant standards and professionalism while adhering to company policies.
• Reservation Management: Utilize OpenTable GuestCenter to manage reservations and guests, optimize seating, and manage wait times.
• Guest Experience: Warmly and enthusiastically greet guests; direct guest seating ensuring a great experience for guests, from arrival all the way through to their departure; receive and direct phone calls; field guest requests, inquiries, praises, and complaints; and ensure a positive first and last impression for guests.
• Operational Support: Work closely with hosts to assist Maître-d's, Captains, and Floor Supervisors. Coordinate with management regarding service flow and guest relations, assist with clearing and setting tables as needed, direct guest seating, assist with to-go orders, relay important service details and messages to staff, ensure menus and printed materials are clean and accurate, maintain safety, cleanliness, and proper appearance of the restrooms, front lobbies/vestibule areas and restaurant walkways.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: minimum 2+ years of restaurant host experience, preferably in an upscale/fine dining establishment with lead responsibilities.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills. Fluncy in English.
• Leadership: Ability to lead by example and resolve conflicts as needed. Motivating a team and ensuring good performance from all members of the staff are key to smooth operations.
• Technical Proficiency: Fluency with OpenTable reservation software. Knowledge of Deliverect and Silverware POS is a plus. 
• Physical stamina: G ood level of fitness needed to endure walking and standing for long periods of time, often in crowded, fast-paced, or confined environments. Occasionally requires lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling items than can weigh up to 50lbs. Frequent bending, kneeling, stooping, and reaching may be required. This position regularly requires long hours and a schedule that fluctuates based on business needs.
• Organization : Keen ability to effectively multi-task, prioritize, and properly delegate tasks and direct staff as needed; maintaining tidy, organized, and clean work areas.
• Food Handlers' and Illinois BASSET certificates are required upon employment, per state regulations.
