Position Overview

We are seeking a highly articulate, technically advanced Part-Time Instructor for Cloud Computing & DevOps (CCDO) to deliver engaging, synchronous learning experiences to adult professionals. Operating in a remote capacity across fixed weekday evening or weekend morning blocks, you will serve as a primary mentor bridging the gap between raw abstract deployment theories and production-grade architecture. You will facilitate live online sessions, lead code demonstrations, review pipeline architectures, and provide high-signal feedback on student lab projects. This seat demands a seasoned systems practitioner with real-world infrastructure expertise who can simplify complex cloud mechanics cleanly.

Key Responsibilities

• Live Bootcamp Delivery: Facilitate 100% online, synchronous lectures covering Cloud Infrastructure, DevOps lifecycles, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) primitives.
• Multi-Cloud Platform Instruction: Deliver hands-on lab demonstrations across one or more leading enterprise cloud environments, specifically emphasizing AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) .
• DevOps Toolchain Mentorship: Coach technical learners through automated workflow configuration, source control systems, and container orchestration layers using Jenkins, Git/GitHub, Docker, and Kubernetes .
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Instruct on programmatic server deployment methodologies and environment tracking patterns using Terraform and Ansible profiles.
• Observability & Microservices: Teach microservices deployment topologies, serverless cloud-native system blueprints, and metric log monitoring architectures via Prometheus and Grafana .
• Student Performance Telemetry: Track individual learner milestones using established rubrics, host dedicated office hours, provide constructive assignment reviews, and support certification readiness paths.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 7+ years of verified professional history operating natively within Cloud Computing, Data Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) roles.
• Deep, production-tested command over major automation frameworks, CI/CD pipeline structures, and container runtime orchestration layers.
• Hands-on system proficiency utilizing core tools, specifically including **Jenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Ansible**.
• Outstanding presentation, facilitation, and verbal English communication mechanics, optimized to unpack complex system definitions easily over digital networks.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or an equivalent related technical field.
• Location Context: 100% remote-first operational framework open exclusively to qualified specialists legally authorized to work within the United States throughout employment.
• Fixed Shift Scheduling: Absolute personal capacity to conform to part-time windows (8–12 hours/week commitment) covering either **Weekdays (6:30 PM – 9:30 PM CST Mon/Wed/Thu)** or **Weekends (9:00 AM – 12:00 PM CST Sat/Sun)**.

Preferred Strategic Indicators (Nice to Have)

• Possession of premium cloud architecture certifications, such as **AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator/DevOps Engineer, or Google Professional Cloud Architect**.
• Prior experience delivering technical lectures, corporate onboarding programs, or engineering bootcamps inside an online platform.
• Familiarity with enterprise cloud migration planning, DevSecOps compliance checks, or agile scrum methodologies.
