Job Duties: The worker will perform a variety of duties related to grain farming operations throughout the contract period, following seasonal agricultural activities. During the spring, the worker will assist with field preparation and planting, including operating tractors and implements used in planting. In the summer, the worker will perform general agricultural duties such as assisting with crop-related activities, cleaning and maintaining equipment, and keeping the shop and farmyard clean and orderly. During the fall harvest season, the worker will assist with harvesting activities, including operating combines and other harvesting equipment, supporting grain handling operations, performing routine equipment checks, and assisting with field and farm upkeep such as clearing debris and maintaining field edges. The worker will be required to operate various farm equipment including tractors, sprayers, combines, and may assist with transporting agricultural goods using farm trucks or similar vehicles. The worker will also perform routine maintenance, washing, and upkeep of equipment, and complete general farm labor tasks as assigned. The position requires prior experience operating agricultural machinery such as tractors, sprayers, and combines, as well as the ability to perform routine equipment maintenance. Employees will be provided with adequate breaks, including meal and rest periods, consistent with applicable Federal, State, and local law, during the course of each workday.

Special Requirements: Minimum of 3 months experience is required. Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion. Operator License Class D Candidate will have 60 days to obtain. Skill Level II Experienced Level Pursuant to the Interim Final Rule (IFR) implementing the new four-level wage system for H-2A occupations, the employer designates this position as Skill Level II Experienced Level, indicating that the job requires prior related experience, independent judgment in performing recurring tasks, and the ability to work with limited supervision.
