Job Description

Our client, a leading law firm, is seeking an experienced eDiscovery Senior Analyst to provide technical and project management support primarily to its Litigation Department. The role will manage a range of small and large eDiscovery matters from collection through production while providing litigation technology support and guidance to attorneys and case teams. The Senior Analyst will also support Technology Assisted Review projects using Relativity’s Review Center and aiR suite of AI products and assist with evaluating and implementing innovative AI solutions and best practices. The position may be based in the Boston, New York, or San Francisco office, with a hybrid schedule allowing two remote days per week. Candidates based in Boston or New York will work an 11:30 a.m.–7:30 p.m. schedule.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage small and large eDiscovery matters from collection through production
  • Consult at all levels, providing discovery/eDiscovery and related technology expertise, consulting services, and guidance to management, clients, attorneys, paralegals, case assistants, and support staff, including the development of discovery plans and budgets
  • Provide ongoing litigation and trial technology support to legal teams, including database design, implementation, and quality control
  • Manage and consult with attorneys on Technology Assisted Review projects utilizing Relativity’s Review Center application and aiR suite of AI products
  • Provide guidance and targeted support related to discovery, including vendor monitoring and management
  • Assist with developing, proposing, and implementing best practice standards and guidelines for litigation technology work and AI solutions
  • Participate in ongoing in-house training and attend informational, professional, and vendor events to stay current on technology and service developments in the field
  • Collaborate with the Information Technology department and make recommendations regarding software and hardware for litigation technology purposes
  • Provide training and assist attorneys and others in developing strategies and programs for ongoing instruction and information to case teams regarding litigation support, AI, and discovery matters
  • Provide backup support for the Litigation Support team when needed
  • Support the Manager of Knowledge and Practice Support Services in evaluating and implementing innovative AI solutions across practice groups


JOB DUTIES / TECHNICAL

  • Process documents using RelativityOne
  • Maintain document databases using document review software, specifically RelativityOne, from both technical and end-user perspectives
  • Provide case management and transcript management support using software such as RelativityOne, Opus2, TimeCoder Pro, or equivalent platforms
  • Perform or coordinate email, electronic document, mobile device, and social media profile collections using Forensic Email Collector, Microsoft Purview, Relativity Collect, PageVault, iExplorer, or equivalent software
  • Document work by maintaining appropriate logs and chain of custody
  • Provide trial support using Trial Director or an equivalent software platform


QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA/BS required
  • Several years of professional experience in a mid-to-large law firm or equivalent environment required
  • Expert-level knowledge of automated litigation information management, databases, project and case management, litigation support, discovery and evidence management, and imaging management software and systems
  • Relativity Certified Administrator or Certified E-Discovery Specialist preferred
  • High degree of proficiency with technology including Microsoft Office, Kofax Power PDF Advanced, iManage/FileSite, and database management and administration systems


ADDITIONAL SKILLS / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Proficiency with AI technologies and their application within legal practices
  • Maintain a strong level of knowledge and familiarity with litigation technology issues, applications, and relevant case law
  • Experience performing document reviews and providing case management and transcript management support using platforms such as Opus2, Relativity, or equivalent software
  • Excellent grammar, spelling, and proofreading skills for both content and context
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with sound practical judgment
  • Ability to take responsibility and work independently, while delegating workload when necessary to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to establish priorities while managing multiple responsibilities under pressure
  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members throughout the firm
  • Flexibility and ability to travel to other offices from time to time
  • Adaptable to last-minute changes and disruptions, with the ability to accommodate overtime as required
