The Role

Gaui is looking for an experienced E-commerce Manager to take ownership of the brand’s digital commerce ecosystem.

This role is designed for someone who enjoys building exceptional online experiences. Someone who thrives on improving websites, increasing conversion rates, optimizing customer journeys, collaborating with developers, and continuously finding opportunities to elevate every digital touchpoint while preserving the brand’s identity.

Working closely with the Founder , while reporting directly to the Head of Marketing and Operations Manager , this individual will own the day-to-day execution and optimization of Gaui’s e-commerce operations while helping guide the brand through its next stage of growth.

They will oversee the website experience, digital marketing performance, merchandising, conversion optimization, and technical execution, ensuring every customer interaction reflects the quality, creativity, and standards of the brand.

The ideal candidate has significant hands-on experience managing Shopify-based DTC businesses, understands both the creative and technical sides of digital commerce, and enjoys combining strategy with execution. They should feel comfortable collaborating with developers when needed, making website improvements independently whenever possible, and taking strong ownership of the brand’s online performance.

This person will collaborate with our in-house creative team, marketing team, developers, photographers, designers, content creators, and external partners to improve and elevate every aspect of the online customer experience.

We’re looking for someone who combines analytical thinking with strong execution, has exceptional attention to detail, and takes pride in continuously improving both performance and user experience.

Main Responsibilities

• Own and manage Gaui’s Shopify website and overall e-commerce experience.
• Continuously improve website performance, usability, aesthetics, speed, and conversion rates.
• Maintain product pages, collections, product descriptions, navigation, filters, search, and merchandising.
• Work alongside developers to prioritize new features, resolve technical issues, and improve functionality.
• Independently implement website updates and basic front-end changes whenever possible.
• Monitor website health, customer journey, and opportunities for optimization.
• Lead conversion rate optimization (CRO) initiatives through testing, analysis, and continuous improvements.
• Oversee digital merchandising and ensure products are presented in a compelling, brand-consistent way.
• Help manage and optimize Meta Ads, Google Ads, Pinterest Ads, email marketing, SMS, and other digital acquisition channels alongside internal and external partners.
• Collaborate closely with the Marketing team to launch campaigns, collections, product drops, and promotions.
• Analyze website performance, customer behavior, traffic sources, and campaign results to make data-driven decisions.
• Ensure consistency across every digital customer touchpoint while preserving Gaui’s visual identity and positioning.
• Build dashboards, reporting systems, and KPIs that provide visibility into e-commerce performance.
• Stay current on e-commerce trends, emerging technologies, and best practices that can improve the customer experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience managing e-commerce operations for a consumer brand.
• Direct-to-consumer experience is required.
• Proven experience managing Shopify or Shopify Plus stores.
• Experience with Meta Ads, Google Ads, Pinterest Ads, email marketing platforms, SMS, and digital marketing campaigns.
• Strong understanding of conversion rate optimization, merchandising, customer journey optimization, retention, and website analytics.
• Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Shopify theme customization.
• Ability to communicate effectively with developers and implement simple website updates independently.
• Experience using Google Analytics, Shopify Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Looker Studio, or similar reporting tools.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining brand consistency.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into action.
• High level of ownership, accountability, and follow-through.
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

More About This Role

While e-commerce management is the primary foundation of this position, the purpose of the role is much bigger than simply managing a website.

We see this person as the owner of Gaui’s digital customer experience. Someone responsible for continuously improving how customers discover, experience, and interact with the brand online while protecting the visual identity and standards that define us.

Success in this position requires balancing creativity with analytical thinking. Every decision should strengthen the brand while contributing to measurable business growth through higher conversion rates, stronger customer retention, improved merchandising, better website performance, and a best-in-class online shopping experience.
