Role Description

The Director, SEO Content is responsible for melding the worlds of SEO strategy with high-caliber content creation. This role is dedicated to spearheading our content-driven SEO initiatives, managing a team of SEO content writers, and ensuring the production of compelling, optimized, and results-driven content.

  • Direct and supervise the entire SEO Content team, ensuring consistent and top-tier product delivery.
  • Design, develop, and refine our SEO content strategy, ensuring alignment with broader SEO goals and company objectives.
  • Ensure accurate metrics are consistently reported and reviewed to monitor client sentiment, optimize client satisfaction, and foster trust in our service delivery capabilities.
  • Approach processes with scale and future acquisitions in mind, becoming adept at data analysis, tech trends, and pattern recognition to identify and implement efficiencies and scalable solutions.
  • Work with other Division Leaders, having necessary conversations, and executing on standards.
  • Lead and develop a team of professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Provide mentorship, conduct evaluations, and motivate team members to enhance team performance and individual growth.
  • Work with Directors & Talent Management Director to create coaching and training programs.
  • Conduct regular 1:1 meetings and annual performance reviews with direct reports, providing constructive feedback and setting goals for continuous professional development.
  • Collaborate with sales to create and maintain comprehensive explainer materials to support the sales team.
  • Implement, monitor, and refine quality assurance processes to ensure all output meets the company's high standards and client expectations.
  • Work closely with other departments and directors to ensure comprehensive service integration.
  • Create, refine, and document comprehensive SEO content processes that drive efficiency, consistency, and top-tier results.
  • Develop training modules and conduct sessions to ensure all team members are well-versed and compliant with newly established processes.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented processes, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Establish a system for receiving feedback on existing processes for regular refinement.
  • Stay passionate about the latest digital marketing trends, including Google algorithm shifts and industry updates.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of digital marketing experience.
  • 6+ years leading teams to organizational success.
  • Experience with data analysis and technology.
  • Experience with resource planning, execution, and management.
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills, with experience guiding specialized teams.
  • Comprehensive understanding of SEO best practices, tools, and analytics platforms as they relate to content.
  • Strong command over content strategy, creation, and optimization.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance creative and technical aspects of content-driven SEO campaigns.
  • A collaborative and accountable leader.
  • Initiative-driven and goal-oriented.

  • Ability to stay focused in demanding situations.
  • Proficient in written, verbal, and visual communication.
