Akkodis is seeking a Developer for a Contract with a client in Atlanta, GA. A JDE World specialist responsible for maintaining day‑to‑day stability of AS/400‑based JDE applications and ensuring rapid issue resolution across critical production environments.
Rate Range: $45/hour to $60/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Developer job responsibilities include:
Oversee the stability and performance of JDE World applications on IBM i/AS400, ensuring uninterrupted Tier‑0/Tier‑1 operations.
Monitor production alerts, jobs, and interfaces while triaging issues quickly and escalating critical events per defined SOPs.
Provide on‑call support, managing incident intake, impact assessment, and customer communication through full resolution.
Conduct root‑cause analysis for high‑severity incidents and implement permanent fixes along with preventive controls.
Support maintenance windows, deployments, and change events while validating post‑deployment health and rollback readiness.
Deliver operational reporting by producing daily/weekly/monthly dashboards covering incidents, trends, and SLA adherence.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
10+ years’ experience required.
Must have strong hands‑on expertise with JDE WorldSoft A7.3 or later along with core AS/400 technologies.
Must be proficient in JDE World modules and production support activities including job streams, integrations, and issue resolution.
