Find the light at the end of every tunnel on the Route of the Hiawatha. 10 tunnels and 7 trestles make this one of the most scenic rails to trails conversions in the world. Nestled in the Bitterroot Mountains on the Montana/Idaho border this 16-mile trail is both beautiful and rich in history as one of the great engineering feats of the Milwaukee Road.
Every day is an adventure on the Route of the Hiawatha! This is a dynamic and fast-paced environment with guest service at the forefront of our operations. Surrounded by the beautiful Bitterroot Mountains and lacking the modern convivence of cell service our staff are a resource for all guests as we ride the trail to aid our visitors.
Our staff needs to be outgoing, resourceful, problem-solvers and outdoor-oriented as most are expected to spend the majority of the day outside.
Housing is available for those who qualify. This shared dorm-style conversion does have a full kitchen, Wifi, Cable TV, and washer and dryer on the property. Rooms are shared with shared bathrooms. Day rates and Monthly rates are available. Housing is on the Idaho side in Mullan, ID or Osburn, ID.

Personal vehicles are welcome. There is limited public transportation in the Silver Valley on the ID side and none in MT. Bikes can work as an alternative but distances can be far. Carpooling with other staff is an option. The closest airports are in Spokane, WA, and Missoula, MT.
